The Tracy Anderson Method

Lately, I have been searching for a workout I will really enjoy and will leaving me feeling accomplished. I have tried P90x, but it's just too intense for me. I only feel discouraged when I can't finish the exercises. Usually, I roller blade for about an hour. However, I had a pretty serious fall a few months ago that really scared me. I injured my elbow and wrist and am left with a huge, ugly scar on my knee. Plus, summer time in Miami isn't great for exercising outdoors. So, I have decided to try some workouts from Tracy Anderson. I have been hearing her name pop up a lot lately when stars are asked about their workouts. Ladies like Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow are singing her praises. I have found some her of workouts on YouTube. Anyone want to try them out with me? I'll add the links below!

Luichiny wedges= <3

A week or so after buying my camouflage purse, I wandered into a store I had never been to before, Via Moda, because I saw these gorgeous wedges in the window.

I went in to try them on and see how well they matched my new purse, and I was pleasantly surprised! The soft tan color is the same color as the straps on the purse and the gold studs tie in perfectly with the gold details on the bag!

The price tag (89.00) stopped me from buying them immediately, though. I went home and did some research to ensure that I wouldn't be over paying for these beauties. There are a few sites online that offered them for $5-$10 cheaper, but when you factor in shipping (and waiting), its not a bargain. I wore them all day today grocery shopping and running errands and they were dreamy on my feet! I love how tall the heel is and how light the entire shoe is as a whole. I can't wait to wear these with some summer dresses!

My new purse!

After MONTHS of lusting after this gorgeous Michael Kors purse, it is finally mine! I have been walking into my local Michael Kors store weekly checking to see if the bag was on sale yet, only to be told that it was "limited edition" and would "NEVER" go on sale.

Well, about a week ago, I hit the jack pot! It was on sale for $100 off the original price and I just could not resist! A huge, loving thank you to my future hubby for buying it for me! He watched the tortuous process of me trying it on in the mirror of the store and imagining up outfits while I trotted around with it in the crook of my arm. I know it seems a little ridiculous to buy a camouflage purse, but I do tend to like my things just a *tad* ridiculous.

I have taken a page out of the southern gentleman's handbook and am wearing it with pretty much anything you can imagine and I get so many compliments! I try and stay away from patterns, but I do pair it with solids of all different colors! White, black, brown, peach, purple, red, green (obviously) and orange! It adds an unexpected, original twist to any girly outfit. I love the juxtaposition of manly camouflage with the shiny gold details! This bag is definitely one of my all time faves!!!!

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions of pairings! I could always use some help!

Birthday hair!

I am trying out a look for my birthday with my Chi InfraTech 1 1/4" curling iron. I pinned each curl with a Bobby pin after they came out of the curling iron and I love the results! Ive never been a fan of the super curly look so this volumized wavy look works out perfect for me! I'll just add some clip-in extensions for extra length and this is how I will wear my hair for my birthday celebration! The best part is that it only took me 30 minutes!!!

Obsession: shoe stretcher!

I have bought a lot of shoes over the years. For some reason, i can always rationalize another pair. However, the size of my foot is always changing slightly depending on the weather and how much walking I've done the day I buy the shoes. These particular shoes are from Steve madden and they are a size 5.5. At the store, I tried on both a size 6 and the 5.5 and the size 6 was too big- I could feel them sliding off as I walked around the store. I decide on the 5.5. Here is where the mystery comes into play. While in the store, I was able to get the 5.5 on and walk around comfortably. Now, I can't get my feet in them! I have no idea what has changed! They are a gorgeous violet- blue color, not to mention they were $90 so I'd rather not just give them away.

Enter: shoe stretcher. I bought it at a shoe repair store. It wa $30, but you can buy a pair on amazon for $35.00. They come in sizes so make sure you find re correct size for your shoes. Basically, it is two wood pieces shaped sort of like a foot with a long metal bar down the middle. To use, you place it in the shoe you'd like to stretch, and then twist the metal bar which will expand the two wood pieces. This process will help to stretch the shoe out. I am going to try it on my gorgeous violet Steve madden heels. Hopefully it works!

Does anyone have any idea why sometimes shoes fit my feet and sometimes they don't?? Any suggestions are helpful!!!

Update: after letting the shoe sit in the stretcher for about 3 hours, it fits! It needs a little more stretching to be comfy, but I'm so happy I can actually get the awesome shoes on my feet!
